Transwarp and Warp 10, what's the different, and which is faster

Actually, the Voyager was ridiculously slow, even by the "official" speed charts.
If we discount the various leaps and shortcuts that Voyager made use of during her journey and focus only on terrain she managed to cross under normal power, then they averaged only 400 light years on an annual basis.

That's actually what I meant by the Voyager's speed being consistent for the most part. 300-400 light-years is roughly the distance a ship would cross annually if it cruised at warp 6 per the TNG scale. In comparison, the TOS scale would have the original Enterprise only average a little over 200 light-years per year at warp 6.

But other ships seem to be many times faster than both, so neither scale holds water all that well.

Ah, in that case - glad I could help!

However, as consistent with official Warp 6 speeds as it might be (Voyager can hardly be expected to know the local subspace routes, after all) it is entirely inconsistent with the oft-quoted journey time of crossing 70,0000 light years in 75 years.
At Warp 6, it would take them 188 years!

Don't these newer ships generally cruise closer to warp 7 or 8? Pushing it seems to be in the warp 9 range, rather than Scotty complaining when they pushed warp 8.

True, but Voyager was often seen cruising at Warp 6 throughout the series. She only occasionally did Warp 8 or 9
