I don't believe so. If this movie is well received and makes a boat load of money I'm sure that Paramount will seriously consider doing a fourth one, but that movie won't be directed by Michael Bay who said he is done with the franchise after this.

Wasn't there a Gobot joke in the first movie? Maybe it was the second where Sam calls Wheelie (the little annoying TF who kept humping Mikaela's leg)? I swear I remember the little bot kicking Sam in the legs for calling him a Gobot.
Weren't some of the Gobots designs based on some anime show (Not Challenge of the Gobots, but Machine Robo)?
I know there was a Transformer who was clearly a Macross Valkyrie, and of course a good chunk of them were Diaclones.
Not sure about any gobots references, although one of the non-film Transformers from the movie line-a repaint of a G1 'classics' mirage-was clearly intended to be a Gobots homage:

Exactly. As a matter of fact the first incorporation of a GoBot name was given to the mini-con partnered with Megatron during the Armada phase, Leader-1.
For those who don't know Leader-1 is the gray robot in that image and was the leader of they good guys. So partnering him with Megatron was a type of F-U to the character, at least GoBot fans saw it that way.

They'll reboot if for no other reason than to allow Hasbro to sell a new style of movie Transformer.
As much as I think Bayformers look and work good on the big screen, as toy robots (especially the faces), they don't work.
