What little enthusiasm I had for this film just disappeared. I mean come on, there aren't a couple of hundred actual hot actresses out there in the 20-25 age group that could have replaced Fox??

This is one thing I don't understand about Hollywood in general. Sure, I understand the desire to cast attractive people in film roles, but I really don't know why it's so hard to find hot people who actually have acting talent!

Who knows, though? This girl might surprise us. Tricia Helfer from BSG was a model before she did the acting thing, and she turned out to be pretty awesome.

I'm confident there will be at least one mind-numbingly bland scene involving Sam Witwicky's nervousness around pretty girls... regardless of the fact that he had been nailing a ridiculously hot girl previously.

Word. I don't find the new chick hot, certainly nowhere near the level of Megan Fox. She's "generic model girl" at this point. Don't care.

I have had no interest in this film since the crap fest we got called "Revenge of the Fallen" I might go and see it if the first trailer is decent otherwise I'm not interest. I don't understand why the basis of a supermodel being cast in a secondary character role that you know has little substance would prevent you from watching this film in the first place if you were interested in it?

I hated the first movie...only reason I bothered with the second was my favorite Transformer was in it...Jetfire if you can't figure that out....and I have no desire what so ever to see the 3rd.

Hopefully one day a good live action Transformers movie will be made.

Shia's character has saved the world and the frigging sun from getting eaten. He's friends with a bunch of huge talking robots, and probably knows a lot of high government muckitymucks.

I see no reason why he shouldn't get super hot girls wanting to make out with him.

Plus, this is Michael Bay world, no women, excepting mother characters, are ever anything but stunningly gorgeous in Michael Bay world.

Of course, after having been in Bay world, no woman ever reaches that level of hotness again.

No one knows what Sam did...indeed Michael Bay made it a point that the incident in the first film was covered up and people forgot about (he says something to this effect in the audio commentary) it. In the second film Sam's role took place in an entirely different country with no news footage or lots of witnesses around. Sam isn't world famous for saving the world. As for him being a guy of average looks but with charm and wit getting the hot girl, eh it's happened before even in real life and not just in a Michael Bay construct. We don't even know how they will explain Mikaela's absence from the film yet or how Sam ends up meeting this new girl.
