Trailer for S02E02 - "New Eden"

Oh my God!

It's like and one of those episodes of that one show where the space people would 'beam' down to an alien planet to find pseudo-humans, interact with them incognito, and then make some kind of philosophical choice at the end.

Anyone remember the name of that show?

Is this really what Trek fans want? The same thing again and again and again?

This is a total aside, but I find it very weird - given the number of Jewish actors and writers involved in Trek over the years - that we haven't had a single hint that any at least culturally Jewish people survive even into the era of Enterprise.
Well, that's nothing Trek specific. Most of the creators of Golden and Silver Age comic books were Jewish, but how many Jewish comic book characters can you name?

Again and again? Probably not. But more than last season.

I mean, consider how little we saw last season other than Discovery, Shenzhou, the Ship of The Dead, and a few other ships.

Episode 1: Desert planet scene with Georgiou and Burnham (only a few minutes)
Episode 4: Approximately 30 seconds of seeing the colony under siege.
Episode 6: Lots of scenes of Vulcan, but mostly in flashback inside Sarek's mind.
Episode 8: Pahvo
Episode 11: Gravel pit planet where MU Voq and his friends had the base
Episode 15: Qonos.

Supposedly the Pahvo episode was added to the season at the insistence of CBS, because they were upset at how little the showrunners were getting the crew off the ship. Certainly it led to a claustrophobic season.
