Hey, when do we start to get the posts and petitions damning them for turning Trek into a "war story?" It's not like there's a requirement to wait for more evidence before hitting the panic button.

They will be interleaved with posts scolding DSC for not showing what happened after the Dominion war.

It could be that this is just a private little war with the House of T'kuvma. Obviously a conflict like that could easily lead to full scale war. In fact that would be consistent with Admiral Marcus' comment in STID that all-out war with the Klingons is inevitable. You have these on and off escalating conflicts with the different houses that sooner or later is going to involve the whole empire.

The pictures they've released of the Discovery's bridge, it appears to be brighter then the Shenzhou.

What pictures of Discovery's bridge? I thought all the bridge shots we've gotten so far were of the Shenzhou, and that the consensus is that they're deliberately holding back the bridge of the Discovery.

The first image they released of Captain Lorca was on the bridge of the Discovery.

And the backdrop to the captain's chair at SDCC is of the Discovery's bridge.

Both are out of focus, but they are brighter and more brightly coloured then the Shenzhou

So, the heroine of the story has problems growing up on Vulcan, starts an intra-galactic war, gets thrown in the brig, and becomes a first officer on a war ship. And wants to save us all.

Which would stand to reason if the Shenzou is older, and was in about the same era as the Kelvin.

Normally I'd say Yes, but I looked at the GOT season 7 trailer and the new Justice League trailer and those ratios are a lot more positive.............. I guess DSC will really have to win people over..

I watched the trailer yesterday, and judging by the number of pages it's sparking quite a bit of discussion! Overall it looks really polished and high quality, but I am cautiously optimistic. I'm hoping they are playing up the whole action aspect just for trailers, and that we get some good character development and sci-fi themes as well. What I'm expecting is the first few episodes are fast paced and have ton of action to kick off the series. I'm hoping after those are done we get some good sci-fi that advances the plot. Stuff like "Measure of a Man" comes to mind.

I will be subscribing to watch it though, make no mistake

My only gripe is baldy klingons.. The costumes look good, but I guess I liked the biker dude hair-dos.

Youtube is full of trolls, I wouldn't use the dislikes as an indicator of anything. I'd say the like/dislike ratio is pretty standard once you factor in people who are going to hate this show no matter what.
