According to the Comic-Con panel though, there will be the classic stop conflict with words moments.

Overall I really did like that trailer. Nice to see some real action and adventure and personal conflict between Federation characters (that ISN'T the result of mind control or doppelgangers) BACK in Star Trek proper.

Judging by that hull breach we won't have to worry about her design for long .

Okay, that got me interested. Not the Pew-pew-pew stuff, but Burnham (and Lorca?) in that Cage and the "What's going on on the ship?" line. Seems to me the ship gets in an anomaly. Maybe the klingons wanted to throw their dead leader into some subspace-thingy to ressurect him or whatever and Shenzhou gets sucked into it as well and Burnham has to live through the destruction of the ship over and over again, a bit like Sisko inside the wormhole.

Something like that at least.

Those klingon Ships that warp in next to the the big klingon ship, don't match the same aesthetic, they look shinier, newer.
