T'Pau's accent....and the Syrians...

That's why fanon is not canon.

I do wish they'd picked an actress with more presence. The young woman had hardly any, where as the one who played in T'Pau in TOS had tons!
 
I thought Kara Zediker did a perfectly fine job.

As for her accent and lack of presence compared to Celia Lovsky, the century of experience T'Pau gained in between the appearances would certainly have affected both.
 
Any explanation why she slaughters the "thees" and "thous"? Or is that only in the novels? Even as a nonnative speaker, I cringe when I read sentences like "thee has spoken well" or the like (if one wants to use olde English, it should be "thou hast spoken well").

I second that, I liked the actress who portrayed T'Pau, myself....
