With that genetically-enhanced mind of his?

He'll find out sooner than you think--or Mack and the writers don't know or respect the character!

(And then he'll realize he owes Ezri a BIG apology, and an acknowledgement that she was right--that his "crush" was blinding him to reality....)

He may be a romantic--but he is not, nor has he ever been, an idiot.

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

"Have you re-read those books by the way? I hear when you read Moby Dick the second time, Ahab and the whale become good friends."

I find myself reading that epilogue over and over again looking for some that Section 31 is using Sarina more than she appears to be using her man. Her little speech about the merits of being part of SFI, on the other hand, suggests she does know what she's doing.

My point in the last post was what heterosexual male wouldn't have a crush on Sarina when the actress who played her is still just as attractive at 39 as she was at 27? Even Miles and Odo were drooling over her (and in front of Kira I might add).

While on that subject, check out who makes an appearance in my latest fanfic chapter.

of course, who would have it any other way :guffaw:

With that age difference, she could be my mother. ah, who cares....:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

Our little S31 friend....

Heck! Nicole deBoer's only a couple of years younger than my mother--and she's still as stunning and beautiful as ever!

(She looks 20. How on Earth does she do it...?)

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

^Here, here! :techman:

(What do you mean, "forgetting about both of them in favor of an actual 20-something"? What "20-something"?)

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

Hypothetically, if Julian decided he chose neither Ezri nor Sarina, pursuing a younger more attractive woman in her twenties would not be a good enough reason.

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

^Quite--because "more attractive" would be a false impression! :)

Besides...Julian's around 40 in ZSG, is he not?

(Ezri's 27 as of 2381, BTW, as per the birth year Memory Beta gives her....)

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

Zero Sum Game is set in mid-2382.

Julian Bashir was born in late 2341, according to Memory Alpha. Ezri Tegan, according to both Memory Beta and Memory Alpha's reporting of StarTrek.com, was born in 2354.

As of Zero Sum Game, that would make Bashir 40 (and about to turn 41 at the end of the year) and Ezri either 27 or 28, depending on when her birthday was.

(Which, interestingly, means that when they hooked up at the end of DS9 S7, Julian was 34 and Ezri was 21. Which, frankly, is more than a little bit creepy of Julian. I mean, jeeze, the girl was barely old enough to drink!)

Re: Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game Review thread

^Well...assuming the Trill drinking age is the same as 21st-century humans. Perhaps Trill--particularly joined Trill--can hold their drink better...especially considering synthehol. ;)

And...it's "Tigan", not "Tegan".

And of course, the symbiont more than compenates for any alleged "age gap"....

^ Or if we go by Sisko's statement in "You are Cordially Invited..." that the Dax symbiont was 356 years old, then 364 by 2382.

you know how they say that the actor bleeds through into the character? well, we also know that Mr. Siddig has a thing for older women.

seen worse...

You mean the same as 21st Century Americans, as many countries have a lower drinking age. In Germany for example you can drink beer and wine with 16 (14 if your parents are with you) and more potent stuff when you're 18.

hmm, are you sure about that? 'cause i could buy scotch when i was 16. all they wanted was to check my ID. but i suppose they could have changed it in two years.

I guess whoever sold it to you fucked up then, if he controlled your ID and sold it to you although you were 16, because if I'm not totally mistaken they changed it to include so-called "alcopops" (mixed alcoholic beverages) a few years ago, but beyond that the law has been in effect for quite some time.

hmm, he probably fucked up then. now, my german is rusty, i freely admit that. but i'm pretty darn sure they never said a word about my age. its not a problem now, but it was pretty fun back then. went back a few times when i was in town too. :) although for some reason i rarely visit germany nowadays...
