Touched By An Angel Season 8

I just picked up Touched By An Angel Season 8 the other day. The quality's pretty good, of course by this time in the series, while they were still shooting on film, the show was probably being edited digitally, so unlike the early seasons where you had some grainy sfx footage from the analog editing ways, there's hardly any grain.

But I was just watching When Sunny Gets Blue, which, well back then it would've only been one Trek alumni guest starring in the episode, but now it's two, since both John Savage (Voyager: Equinox Part 1 & 2) and Zachary Quinto (Star Trek; Star Trek Into Darkness) guest star, with Savage playing a mentally ill guy, and Quinto playing his son who has been searching for him for 16 years. Pretty good acting between the two of them, and Savage really sells his character.

Another notable guest star during the season is Sean Patrick Flannery who's notable as the teenage version of Indiana Jones (although in his TBA episode he's playing a man convicted of killing his mother's third husband, and now he's on death row with only 36 hours left til he dies by lethal injection).

Anyway, it's been a very interesting season that I never really saw when it was being aired, since I think at that point CBS had started to move the show around, and I kind of lost when it was on. And the season set, while not having any bonus features, does keep the episodes to only 4 per disc, so there are very few compression issues.
