Total Recall remake: good news/bad news

Depends, as most parodies do include that. The Kuato one is an exception, but it's still amusing.

photos on the set - robot police

as its in production photos have been taken of the set:

these shots of the film's "Federal Police" were taken in downtown Toronto where the majority of the film's principle photography is happening.

looks like a crewmember shot photos and leaked them.

I really love the closeup of the high tech passport.

Vanilla Sky is already a remake of another movie -- Abres Los Ojos. I'm excited about the cast, but as for the movie, we'll see.

or better yet (though I know this won't go over well with the masses), Paul Giametti,
You're clearly still thinking about that unmade biopic that would have starred Paul Giamatti as Philip K., aren't you.

Damnit so am I.

For a while there it seemed like in the post-Scanner Darkly world we might get more interesting looking PKD films, but besides this year's The Adjustment Bureau - a perfectly acceptable Dick-goes-Bourne flick - no luck.

But I guess I'd remember this is a remake of Total Recall and not another adaption of We Can Remember It For You Wholesale (it'd be nice to see a film ending that included the twist ending from the short story but I digress).

And the lead for that movie wasn't a nebbish, insecure PKD protagonist, but Arnold Schwarzenegger - the same kind of guy you cast Jason Momoa to star in a remake of a film starring him that only loosely resembles the source material.

So ah, Colin Farrel fits that more expansive, generic leading man role well enough.
