I don't know for sure about reels, but I definitely recall seeing bloopers and outtakes at around the same time or before. One batch which comes to mind was of a series of blown takes from the police drama Adam-12 being shown on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In in 1972 when the show's two leads were guests, and I'm pretty sure I was seeing them from the Carol Burnett Show and others even earlier than that. It certainly wasn't unheard-of by the time of the 1968-69 season of Trek. When exactly did Blooper reels start to be common pratice with TV shows and movies anyway cause it seems here that it's a unknown concept to show them as it shows that actors are just normal people who can make mistakes and can sometimes make a song and dance about said mistakes, much to our amusement of course.
