I'm with you there! It's a real shame, it would have been nice to do a "Thermian" version of the ship for TOS-R as well, but several of the special effect "fixes" just create way too many inconsistencies.@Mytran - wow, I'm glad I'm not trying to make heads or tails of the FX-remastered TNG Universe 1701
...Of course, we could be watching the two levels of hangars below the flight deck, and each has a slightly differently positioned row of fancy lights near the ceiling, as seen in TOS-R.
It would certainly solve the problem of what to fill the secondary hull up with!
