TOS replicators?

It's like the old-school BATTLESTAR fundamentalists who can't seem to stop bashing the reboot, no matter what the topic. "Well, TRANSFORMERS 2 sucks . . . but not as much as nuBSG!"

Way back when, in the primitive days of the Internet, I was a member of a local BBS for a few years, until it became obsolete with the rise of the Web and closed down. There was one guy on that BBS who loathed the 1996 Paul McGann Doctor Who TV movie with an absolutely fanatical passion, to the extent that if anyone said anything remotely positive about the film, he would tear into them as savagely as if they'd advocated infant cannibalism. When the board finally closed down years later, in its very last hours, he came online specifically to make one last post whose topic, apropos of nothing, was how awful the Doctor Who movie was.

Sometimes I imagine him living holed up like a survivalist to this day, devising schemes to hunt down every copy of the McGann movie and burn it, drafting ideological tracts damning every fan and apologist of the movie as a traitor to humanity who must be brought before a war crimes tribunal. Or maybe not. The new Doctor Who series probably made his head explode.

The point is that people are free to determine which Trek films and TV shows they like and discard the rest. No one is gonna force them to watch anything they don't want to. They're all just fictional works of entertainment, anyway, and there's no reason for people to show such hated as they do in these threads.
That's EXACTLY what I'm always saying!! :techman: It's all fiction and we're allowed to enjoy or not enjoy whatever it is we want. It's too bad that there are some people on this forum are like little children - if you don't like what they like, well now, that's just horrible and it's not allowed! And they'll hate you for it and expect you to conform to their dictatorial little ideas of what is or isn't canon. People aren't entitled to their opinions here, and very few people on this forum seem capable of practicing IDIC, NOT being narrow-minded, and accepting a wider range of viewpoints.

Once I get the contract, which should be any day now, I'll shout it from the rooftops.
Excellent! Can you answer this one question, though: will it be TOS subject matter?
