Game TOS Episode Pitch Game

Oh, cool. Is Scotty using a Claymore?

Or the ancient alien equivalent thereof.

Take The Bull By The Horns - Spock and McCoy are concerned when an alien woman seems to have an undue amount of influence on Kirk's decisions. Is she the real villain, or is she in turn being controlled by another party? In order to unmask who's really responsible for the change in Kirk's behavior, and against McCoy's instincts to remove him from command, the crew of the Enterprise must play along. Can they stop the sinister plot before it's too late?

Res Ipsa Loquitur

The Enterprise is sent to investigate the wreckage of two Starfleet ships, both lost in an apparent firefight with one another, over reasons unknown, that become harder and harder to clarify, as it really does seem as though they just waged battle against one another for antagonistic personal reasons.

Next Episode: Those That Never Were

Those That Never Were: In the aftermath of a pitched space battle, the Enterprise crew awaken to find that crew members they recall clearly are missing with no record of their existence, the battle damage doesn't match what happened, and a nearby relay station has no record of logs transmitted or weapons discharged. Did the battle really happen, or not? Who's trying to conceal it and why?

Rachel Weeping For Her Children

Upon the realization that Romulans are an offshoot of Vulcan ancestors, the Enterprise is tasked with tracking any "Lost Worlds" that fell between the two disparate cultures, over the centuries. They find a world where there'll be research studies set up, but Spock is finding the whole prospect distasteful, as he struggles to observe these "cousins" in a state without logic and emotional suppression. (You know... like the Mintakans... but ssshhhh)

Next Episode: The Tribble Quibble

THE TRIBBLE QUIBBLE

Damn those ion storms. Now, ten minutes after Harry Mudd sabotages key consoles, the six furry contrabands he was smuggling exchange their minds with Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Sulu, Chapel and the returning Yeoman Rand. This will result in much voice-work when Kirk's and Sulu's voices come out of the tribbles...to say nothing of the other four. Good opportunity for another Nichelle Nichols song or two.....plus a ton of uncharacteristic purring by Nimoy and Shatner. Scotty to the rescue again.

NEXT EPISODE: The Truth Hurts

The Truth Hurts: On a rescue mission to a world suffering from a severe drought, Sulu unexpectedly reunites with "the one that got away". The Enterprise must work with his ex, a search and rescue expert/tracker, to locate a missing Starfleet research team, even as she and Sulu navigate their difficult past. (The dry wilderness is a metaphor for their relationship - tinder, but could become a wildfire under the right conditions - may burn out and leave destruction behind in its wake, but also rejuvenates the soil - i.e. it was quick and passionate, ended badly, but it made them both better people overall)

For Good Men To Do Nothing - The Enterprise discovers that a warp capable world they've been interacting with has actually been a tyranny whose elite class became warp capable with technology that was acquired from off world sources, very like Klingon, but in order to stay in power, have restricted its masses from any access to all technology that it deems a threat to their rule, which is basically all technology, and therefore leaves the planet's populace by & large living in primitive squalor & suffering. Kirk must walk a fine line between justice and the prime directive, which will hopefully leave the population able to raise themselves out of their destitution once & for all.

Next Episode: Dead Ringer
Dead Ringer- While doing maintenance on the transporter, Scott is surprised when the system activates, and lying on the transporter is James T. Kirk, dead!
McCoy and his team arrives, as does a shocked and confused James Kirk. The body is an exact duplicate of Kirk, down to the molecular level. The Enterprise crew must discover how and where he came from.

Next Episode: The Needs of the Few

The Needs of the Few - The Enterprise locates the crew of a Vulcan survey ship that had been stranded on an uninhabited planet for several years, in which time, as a result of their isolation and to survive, they abandoned Vulcan disciplines. Spock is caught in the middle when Vulcan is hesitant to repatriate their lost people, believing them to not truly be Vulcans anymore. Can Kirk make peace between these outcasts and their world?

Next episode - "The Window"

"The Window" - After mysteriously collapsing in the corridor, Spock is taken to sickbay where a brain scan leads McCoy to discover Spock has suffered a brain aneurysm. Following an emergency brain surgery, Spock is sent back to Vulcan to recover, and stay with Amanda and Sarek, who both have totally opposite reactions to the situation; Amanda is thrilled to have Spock home, but Sarek refuses to speak to Spock. Spock suddenly begins to exhibit emotions, and while Sarek shows disapproval, Amanda encourages Spock to experiment with his feelings. Finally, things come to a head when Sarek demands Spock mind meld with him, which leads to Spock refusing and running away. Spock manages to reach The Window - a Vulcan holy place where Vulcans first started practicing total logic, so named for the nearly bottomless chasm in the middle of the ground - when Sarek finally catches up, and grabs Spock from behind in an attempt to mind meld with him. Spock and his father struggle until they both fall into the chasm. Spock suddenly awakes, once more on the Enterprise and in Sickbay, and it is revealed that Sarek had been called in to revive Spock via mind meld after he had collapsed in the corridor. Everything Spock had experienced since the fall had been a manifestation of his human and Vulcan halves subconsciously battling for dominance, with Sarek's mind meld tipping the balance in favor of Spock's Vulcan half. Spock reports to the bridge, after a short conversation with Sarek about the importance of logic, and only after the two are out of earshot does McCoy roll his eyes and say, "Like father, like son."

Next episode: "Fell Deeds Awake" (The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Chapter 5 "The Ride of the Rohirrim")

"Fell Deeds Awake" - A warrior who is losing his mind attacks the Enterprise, re-enacting (though in his mind he is living through it again) a famous heroic space battle from his people's history, using a derelict ship. Can Captain Kirk preserve his honor, even as he convinces the man to cease his fighting?

Next episode: "Delilah" (Judges Chapter 16)

Delilah
On a rescue mission, to a damaged & unfamiliar moon base, Mr. Spock is separated from the rest of the away team, volunteering to make his way through some structural conduits, to get to the station's lab, where there's at least one life sign still showing. Once there, he becomes trapped, & discovers that the life sign is a woman, who was not a lab scientist as he'd thought, but a lab subject, who possesses telepathic powers. As time passes with them being trapped together, it becomes apparent that not only is she responsible for the disaster, but did so with her mental abilities used on the lab scientists, just as she is deliberately affecting Spock's' emotional control, causing him to become unstable.

What The Cat Dragged In
The Enterprise is tasked with escorting a Federation marshal and his prisoner, who just happens to be an old girlfriend of McCoy, wanted for a string of petty crimes. He and the marshal wind up at odds, McCoy believing she's being unfairly treated, and the marshal with no illusions about her character or lack of same. When she escapes the Enterprise while the ship is stopping at a port planet for supplies, the two men must work together to re-capture her.

The Austerian Prize

The Enterprise encounters a far distant & unknown world inhabited by telepaths, who are currently engaged in electing their new world leader. While in the midst of making contact with them, they are, upon meeting Mr. Spock, enamored with the logic and structure of his mind, so much so that they unanimously decide to cast all their votes for him to be their new leader. The only problem? The position is obligatory. How will Kirk & McCoy live this down?

Next Episode: The Birthling

The Birthling - The Enterprise receives a distress call from a small ship. Its occupants are an injured young woman who claims to be many centuries old, and a large egg she cradles in her arms. She explains that she is the guardian of this creature until it hatches, at which point she will die. But she must transport it to the planet where it is supposed to live. The problem is, she strayed off course and may not get there in time without help. As the creature's hatching time draws near, her life ebbs away. Can McCoy save her? Can the Enterprise find the creature's home in time?

Next episode: "His House Upon The Sand" (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew 7:24-27&version=KJV)

His House Upon The Sand
Kirk must convince a colony of traders that the world they were brought to by a charismatic leader is actually worthless for a trade outpost, because the trade route will soon be altered, when a nearby star goes supernova, in the next few years. The conman leader continues to persuade them, until McCoy makes them aware that their population is already suffering the early signs of radiation poisoning, as an effect.

Next episode: The Frenzy Effect

The Frenzy Effect - The Enterprise investigates when a station has seemingly been attacked and pillaged by a swarm of multiple unaligned ships. Before long, certain members of the crew are beginning to feel the effects of whatever madness plagued the other attackers, feeling an urge to loot their ship, escape, and join the swarm by hijacking Enterprise shuttles. If McCoy can't locate the cause of the mob madness, the crew will be torn apart!
