One of the reasons I liked The Original Series was the fact that the same things happened over and over again. It was very campy that way. Is their a better name for that other than cliches?
I wouldn't call it "campy" just because some story elements and situations got reused in any number of episodes. Any TV show that has to crank out new episodes on a weekly basis will eventually succumb to what David Gerrold called "hardening of the arteries."One of the reasons I liked The Original Series was the fact that the same things happened over and over again. Speculative Fiction Tropes (of the TV Tropes site) is the ultimate time waster that will leave you laughing as you follow cross-references from one trope to another. Say you start with Become a Real Boy (a trope I had always called the Pinocchio cliche), and you'll probably follow the link to Robo Speak and open tabs for several others.
While Bridge Bunnies is applicable to TOS, Latex Spacesuit is more of a post-TOS thing. Agony Beam reminded me of a comedian (Kevin Pollack?) spoofing Shatner's "pain" routine in Star Trek: elbows together, hands up, knees bent, head back—"Ahhh!"
It's all in there.
