Spock: "The Nazi did say he had ways of making us talk, Jim."
Kirk: "Yeah, being stuck in one of these episodes makes me nostalgic for when they stole your brain."
Spock: It is logical that this could be enjoyed without the use of one's brain. However, I do believe that you're thinking with another organ at the moment, Jim.
REED:"This does it.
No more landing party missions during Gay Pride Week."
KIRK:"That blade is almost as big as you are. Try something more comfortable. Like your penis."
T'Pol: "Why do you have a Tramp Stamp on the small of your back, Captain?"
Kirk: "I think threatening a murder-suicide is an overreaction to the contest taking a few days longer to ch--"
<Alexander lunges, stabs Kirk through the heart, weeps, then slits own throat.>
KIRK:"Alright.
Who just melded with my ass?"
KIRK:"Those sandals can't be comfortable. And they must make your feet stink like week-old kironide."
REED:"Someone doesn't know how to use cologne or perfume."
I will get this contest changed out today. We are at a horrible part of the recording project. We finished our mixdowns yesterday and all the songs sounded various degrees of good. Some sounded wonderful. We made up our first test CD and took it out to my buddy's basic Toyota car stereo. It sounded terrible. Only one song sounded really good, a basic bluegrass song. Most songs were way too bassy and reverberant.
I've been up since 2 AM, remixing everything but that one song and listening to playbacks in the bathroom, my most reverberant room inside. I'll soon finish and then I'll go listen to the project again on my buddy's car stereo. I'm sure I will make a couple of more changes but then I need to put this thing away for a few days. I really hate it right now.
This always happens with recording projects. I need to get away from it for a while. Changing out the contest this afternoon sounds like a great diversion to me.
