Enjoyed it. The jump ahead was an unexpected technique. Not sure what to think now (regarding who is responsible) originally I did think the lady's line to Jilly that her skin was too tight was a hint but now I'm not sure.

I'm about halfway through...

so... seven weeks have passed between THIS episode and the previous? So, basically, not much has happened? We skip TWO months? That's what it sounded like, Danes said, Jack was smuggled into the country 7 weeks prior to his arrival...

That's just WEIRD story telling. We're heading towards the climax and then skip two months ahead.... as if those two months don't matter....

Like Jack's cliffhanger... I'm shot... that's ok, two months later, I'm fine. So much for jeopardy, so much for stakes...

This series feels like it's writer by ten different writers... the next writer just gets the cliffhanger of the previous episode and then does what they want and then pass it one.

We're in the last two hours... and if just... doesn't matter.

It's a good point. We were left with the suspsence that she didn't know where to go to take care of Jack. We had the distinct impression they were all screwed, and that she was freaking out and Jack was going to die.

Next episode, we cut to 2 months later and everything with Jack is magically taken care of.

Why not continue the next episode from where they left off with Jack in the last episode? I wanted to see how she was going to save him, what she was going to do. That could have filled up this episode better, along with the getting everyone to where they need to be. Instead, it all happens off-screen, and a huge time jump at that.

I get the impression, like you, each episode is being written by its own writer, like each episode is its own shown, and it all doesn't really flow together well.

The cliffhanger ending though is designed to get you to watch the next episode no matter what happens or how it is resolved though. Two months isn't a huge time jump in my opinion and it isn't necessary all the time to explain things or to show how things happened when we're shown them.

Well, it figures that a giant gash screws us all. No wonder I'm gay. Every time I see one I wish I hadn't, and this is no exception.

While it isn't a huge time jump, for me, it took a lot of the tension and build up out of the episode. We're entering into the final parts, they should be RATCHETING UP the tension, not waving it away off screen.

So, looking back on it, I guess the chinese investigator at the beginning of "The Middle Men" found the Blessing, and was driven to suicide by what it showed him. Pretty effective security. I wonder if he managed to break in by himself, or if the people in charge found him and showed it to him as a clean way to dispose of him.

Another pretty decent episode. With the exception of a few spurts of interest along the way, it's just a shame it took 7-8 episodes for things to actually start to happen.

So...Lemme get this straight (Heh)...People stare into Mother Earth's VaJayJay and are compelled to kill themselves? That sounds like a pretty Gay-Biased Test....And it all centers around Jack? RTD supposedly said Jack wouldn't be so Gay-lover-centric, next season if there is one?

Have the Americans corrupted his Gay Agenda!!!

I immediately thought of a butt crack running through the Earth

I don't get it, honestly

This was the next to last episode, and nothing really happened, we simply got our characters to the right city they need to be in, that's about it, a whole episode just to get our people to another country

It's pretty much a sign that the payoff in the final episode will be dissappointing. There just can't be much too it if it all fits in a single episode. If they took this much time to get there, it shows they didn't have better content to fill the screen time. Just saying . . .

Mr Awe

So the Blessing is an anus? Sorry, that seemed too good an opening sentence to pass up, but yeah, that's what it looked like to me, a huge fucking anus.

Anyhoo, this was average though enjoyable. Interestingly enough, although Miracle Day was said to be an international "globetrotting" story, most episodes so far have taken place in Wales or America, with a scene in China. But now this episode truly is globetrotting with the story taking place in Wales, America, China and Argentina, as well as a scene taking place in Scotland.

I'm surprised they went ahead and had Oswald being creepy around Anwen, that's something I wouldn't expect to see on TV, even on a specialty channel. But that led to the Good Ole Rhys being awesome and beating and threatening to kill Oswald. And Rhys even figured out the connection between China and Argentina while everyone else ignored him as another Good Ole Days moment. Rhys was long overdue to have something significant this season.

So apparentally harbouring a Category 1 in your home is serious business. Police can perform an inspection without a warrant if they think there's a Category 1 within. But in the end when they do discover Gwen's dad, they just stick him in the ambulance and take off. Are there no consequences for Gwen, her mother or Rhys for keeping a Category 1? Seems a bit odd they were essentially off the hook. Also, the detective seemed somewhat unprofessional when he did discover Gwen's dad. "You can see his body's still warm." "Not warm enough, but he's going to be." Somehow, I can't imagine it being acceptable to make such a joke about klling someone.

Thermal imaging on a smart phone/iphone/whatever the hell that was? Makes you think that whenever Star Trek returns, they should just replace Tricorders with these things. I mean, hell, in the modern day they do more that the Tricorders do, so imagine what a few hundred years of development could result in. Surveying alien worlds? There's an app for that.

So, it's been two months since the previous episode, presumably Rex has had a cushy desk job all that time and his chest wound still hasn't healed? While I guess there'd be one hell of a scar, I wouldn't expect it to start bleeding again. Or is this an example of how powerful the Blessed Anus is?

Also, by jumping ahead two months, it makes the cliffhanger from last week somewhat anticlimatic. Jack, haviing stolen a piece of that device is shot and appears to be dying. Does he die, or does the piece he stole restore his immortality? Neither, he rests up and naturally mends.

So Rex has gone off to Argentina off the grid to avoid the mole working for the Families, yet it's still as easy as looking on the main viewscreen in the CIA command centre to track where he is. Doesn't seem very effective.

Oh well, all the pieces are in place for the Epic Finale next week. Can't wait.

Remember, he mentioned that he had to slightly blow his cover to get the suitcase through customs by signing for it with his CIA credentials, and that would probably be the thing that completely screwed them over.

So does the asshole look like a vagina or does the vagina look like an asshole?

I believe that if anyone can mistake an asshole for a vagina or vice versus that it's mostly a case of wishful thinking.

You'd be surprised how often someone can mistake a vagina and an anus. Most people think the Sarlac Pit looks like a vagina, yet it was referred to as an anus on Family Guy.

Though I think the Blessing is an anus, a friend of mine who thinks it's a vagina is wondering, if it's a vagina in China, does that mean it's a penis in Argentina?

So, I saw people on Tumblr joking that the Blessing looked like a vagina. So when watching tonight, I was prepared to see something like the Pirates of the Caribbean's kraken vagina dentata mouth...

But no. I don't see it. You know what I saw?

Giant arterial walls or some kind of organic tissue. To me, the stuff flying into the vertical abyss looks like giant blood cells....

But based on reading this thread, I'm the only one who sees that...
