Love how the contact lenses have smiley's.
And Ianto brought himself a new suit does the man not do casual.
The alien's head look a bit like a skutter and when have China and Iran been part of the free world.
Evil Jack the doctor would have not have sold the kids.

Another 9/10 - real edge-of-the-seat stuff just from Peter Capaldi talking to some smoke in a fish tank!

This continues to be what Torchwood should have been all along.

Who was playing the American General? He was familiar, but they shrunk the credits just as his name was coming up. I thought I recognised Nick Briggs as the voice of the 456, but apparently it isn't...

Jack's not the Doctor. He may not be able to die, but he doesn't possess a TARDIS and can't right everything with the wave of a Sonic Screwdriver.

He's been in this position before - Small Worlds. Faced with the destruction of the entire planet or one child (a busload, in this case) and lacking any Time Lordy superpowers that might deal with a threat like this... what do you choose?

How many agonizing decisions like that has he made down the years? And he's got to live with that guilt forever (or 5 billion years at least, if you believe such things...).

Looks like the 456 would be choosing the top option on Jim's poll.

I'm not sure I have anything to say really, still enjoying it, still intrigued by it all and wish they'd have just ran it all in one night  but at this point it's starting to come together pretty much as I'd guessed. I just want to see the resolution now.
Comes to something when 5 episodes in a week isn't fast enough.

He's the guy who played Loab in the Nolan Batman films- seen him in loads of things but couldn't tell you his name off the top of my head!

I thought the guy who was dressed like a care taker was going to be the evil child snatching man.(can't remember his name)
What Party do you think the PM is i don't see Lib dems snatching kids or the BNP welcoming Aliens.

A bit disappointing I thought - not enough happened and less of Torchwood as a team. Plus I think that military lady is there as some sort of bad actor/bad character affirmative action!

Anyway, voted made me stiff (anyone else fancy Jack's daughter?) I don;t think it was neccesarily that inferior to the first two parts, I'm probably just in slightly more of a critical mood tonight ;) Still exceptionally good telly, and hurrah they haven't shown us what the 456 look like yet (and frankly I hope they don't!)

I feel really sorry for Frobisher. Although obviously Jack isn't a better man than him...shame they couldn't have made that reveal more of a surprise, but you can't have everything. I did find the news clips jarring tonight, dunno why, but kids pointing...who'd have thought that would be so scary!

And wait till Rhys finds out even the crazy old man knew about the baby before him! :guffaw:

He's Colin McFarlane

I'm glad that I was not the only one who thought that the aliens reminded them of skutters!

An entire episode without Jack dying too.:)

Who is the mother of Jack's daughter? Is she anyone we have seen mentioned before? The mysterious lady in the wedding photo that Jack had?

Yeah, I quite fancied her too.
Well the crazy old man was the first to know, before even Gwen, so who knows what his reaction will be.

Thanks for that. Thought he was familar, and not just because hubby was playing the game of Primal a few weeks ago...

An interesting, slower-paced episode this time. Nice. Kept up a reasonable amount of tension ratcheted up especially with the big reveal at the end that will keep us guessing until tomorrow. Another great instalment.

You've been watching too much Series 1 of Torchw... I mean, Scooby Doo. ;)

Ah, yes! That's the guy! Colin McFarlane according to the IMDB (and another reply in this thread)
