Top 5 episodes of each season?

Jaespol

Captain
What is everyone's top 5 episodes per season? Here's mine:

Season 1

Jetrel
- So touching, Phillips is a great actor.
Phage- The Vidiians were excellent villains, truly
quite scary villains.
Prime Factors- Brilliant concept! The prime-directive
turns against the stuck up Federites for once!
Eye of the Needle- Another great concept
Faces- Yay, more Vidiians, the much underused villain
of Voyager were definitely the best.

Season 2

Deadlock- Sure it made no sense but seeing Voyager
get blown to pieces over and over again was great fun,
very dramatic with Harry and "Naomi" dying too.
Resolutions- I'm not a J/C-er but I can see the
attraction. I just loved the idea of the episode
and loved how they were both getting on on the planet,
I think this episode is great.
The Thaw - Unique style, look, idea. SOme really unique
ideas in some of these season 2 episode - although I find
most are mediocre
Lifesigns- More vidiians yay. Quite an emotional episode
Persistence of Vision - I don't love it but its the 5th best
of a mediocre bunch

Season 3

Before and After - love this episode, Kes gets new
hair and we get a high concept sci-fi story and a future
for Kes that never was.
Remember- I've always like B'Ellana Torres and found
this episode to be quite touching.
Worst Case Scenario- A "fun romp"- something I believe
season 3 did quite well
Scorpion- Species 8472 were always a cool alien...
before Chakotay kissed one that is.
Distant Origin- crazy idea yes but still, well directed
and great make up!

Season 4

Waking Moments- Nightmare on Elm Street in space,
as a big fan of the NOES movies, I just loved the
dream plot of this episode.
Hope and Fear - A decision or Janeway finally comes
back to bite her in the ass. I loved that Janeway
had to face up to what could be considered a mistake.
The final scene where the ship drops out of warp
with only that one guy on board while the Borg say
"You will be assimilated..." is one of my favorite moments
in Voyager.
The Killing Game: A great two parter, much better than the
season 2 two parter "Future's End"
Message in a Bottle: Its darned hard to pick
my favorite episodes from season 4, so many good
episodes. This one was funny but I was annoyed
how early in the series they got in contact with
earth.
One: Ooonnneeee!

Honorable mention- The Gift is a great episode
but Kes leaving makes the episode a little too
bitter to make my list.

Season 5:

Night- The scene with all the lights going out is
wonderful and so is the whole concept of the episode.
I could have watched more than just one episode in
this void.z
Once Upon a Time- Tremendous acting from Phillips here, I'm
literally getting teary eyed just thinking about it.
Counterpoint- Mulgrew kissed the script after she
read it and it sure is grrrreat.
Someone to Watch Over Me- Despite what the UPN trailer
may suggest (I implore you to youtube it), this episode
is good fun and any Seven episode is a plus.
Equinox Part I- Another ship! WOOOOOOH.

Season 6

Blink of an Eye- Loved the concept! A little less impressive
on the second watch but certainnly had an impact the first
time round.
Barge of the Dead- Ronald D. Moore, if only you'd stayed.
One of the best character episodes in all of Trek, just
freaking fantabulous!
Ashes to Ashes- I do miss Star Trek, where else can you
get storylines like this? Deadcrewman ressurected by Alien species
and returns to Voyager! Such a touching episode.
Muse- Another excellent B'Ellana episode, it was fun
seeing the Voyager crew depicted by this ancient Greek-esque
dramatists.
Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy- Fun episode

Dishonorable mentions:
Virtuoso- the Doctor was already starting to piss me
off a little in "Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy" but
this was just the icing on the cake, from here I
found the Doctor increasingly insufferable.
Fury: Kes comes back and tries to kill everyone despite
supposedly turning into God in season 4: nuff said.

Season 7

Lineage: Another excellent character episode for
B'Ellana, one of the best character episodes in
Voyager.
Body & Soul: Jeri sure does do a great Picardo impression,
the cheesecake part was hilarious!
Natural Law: I loved seeing Seven out of her comfort zone
and yeah, it was just very good.
The Void: A bit like "Night" in a way, good fun though.
Human Error: Generally derided but I found it pretty touching!

Here are my favorite episodes of each season

Note that I count "Projections", "Elogium", "Twisted" and "The 37's" as season 1 episodes.

Season 1

Caretaker
- Excellent pilot episode. Great action, good story and the main characters are introduced in a very good way

Projections- Really exciting. I wasn't sure that the episode was over until the end credit started to roll.

Time And Again- Creepy episode with some exciting twists and turns

Ex Post Facto- Good detective story with Tuvok as the main character

Jetrel- Great and touching story which reveals Neelix's tragic background.

Season 2

Cold Fire- My all-time favorite. Sppoky and really exciting

Persistence Of Vision- Another spooky, exciting episodes. The Bothans are a powerful and interesting species.

Basics - The ship taken over by the Kazon and the crew stranded on dangeous planet. Excellent two-parter.

Alliances- Good episode which shows that the enemy's enemy isn't always the best friend.

Meld - The interaction between Tuvok and Suder is great.

Season 3

Warlord - Exciting episode about an alien warlord taking over Kes and her struggle against the hostile entity

The Swarm- Exciting story with interesting aliens. The sub-plot with The Doctor's malfunctioning program is excellent.

Darkling- Sort of a horror story. The Doctor dabbles with is program which creates some real problems. Very good.

Before And After- Interesting but somewhat weird story of a future that never was.

Future's End- Our favorites show up in the 20th century and confronts an interesting villain.

Season 4

Nemesis- Actually a good Chakotay episode

Season 5

Equinox #1- Good episode with a good concept about some "anti-heroes"

Season 6

Equinox #2- The conclusion of the season 5 story. Good one.

Blink Of An Eye- Here they encounter a really interesting alien world.

Season 7

I've only watched "Endgame" and didn't like it.

5 worst Voyager episodes:

Fury- The worst piece of crap ever produced in any TV series. Mean character destruction and insulting to the fans

The Gift- Badly written episode full of flaws which only purpose was to get rid of a good character as soon as possible

Mortal Coil- Horrible episode in which Braga have to ram his beliefs down the throat of the viewers

Homestead- Neelix dumped. I don'ät have to watch this episode to know I will dislike it.

Message In A Bottle- The episode in which the premise for the whole series is definitely ruined. What's the point with having them lost on the other side of the galaxy when they can contact Earth as easy as a phone call?

Why did you like "In the Flesh" so much? I thought the plot was horrible, Chakotay actually kissed a species 8472!
Also i agree about season 7, most episodes were pretty mediocre.

"In the Flesh" has a very Star Trekian message, so I guess that's why some people enjoy it. I know that's why I do.
And who cares about Chakotay kissing a 8472...? How is that bad in anyway? Hell he should have kissed her in her original form..

The reason I don't like Chakotay kissing an 8472 is that it was just the perfect scene to show how that entire episode ruined 8472, they weren't a dangerous or mysterious menace anymore. They were a long way from those evil aliens who Kes heard saying they wanted to destroy everything to giving Janeway flowers and kissing Chakotay!
I mean does it really get any worse than that!?

BEST EPISODE of VOYAGER::: Scorpion

Yes, but that's what Star Trek does, it humanizes Villains and they become nice guys with whom one can achieve peace...
Unrealistic? Probably, but it gives hope to people...

It humanised the Borg too with that stupid Queen, look how much of a mistake that was!
In the Flesh ruined a good original premise and basically just turned the whole story around in an instant, Kes had said she heard them saying they wanted to destroy everything but suddenly they're whiny cowards in ITF, I just don't believe it.

Mmm, well. True, it had a stupid, stupid plot, but Chakotay is one of my favourite characters and I enjoyed a lot of his scenes, especially the one with his grandfather. And on a more shallow note, I'm a big J/C fan and they had quite a few good moments in the ep. :D

Why does anyone like season 5's "The Fight"? I couldn't finish watching it it was so terrible.

Because it's unusual. And for me in a good way. I had to watch it twice before realizing which scene belonged to which layer of time. And chaotic space is interesting.
