I did a search and couldn't find a thread but I thought I saw one before. If so, sorry & merge.

Tomorrowland is an upcoming American science fiction mystery adventure film directed by Brad Bird, co-written and produced by Bird and Damon Lindelof.[1][2] The film stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Thomas Robinson, Kathryn Hahn, Tim McGraw, Keegan-Michael Key and Judy Greer.

Walt Disney Pictures originally announced the film under the working title 1952 until it was retitled, sharing its name with the futuristic themed land found at Disney theme parks.[2][3] The film is scheduled to be released on May 22, 2015 in theatres and IMAX.[4]

It didn't give too much away and love Britt R. :D

Very cool trailer. Don't know enough to be excited about the movie or not...but the trailer does its job; it's peaked my interest.

I did see a pic yesterday with Clooney hugging Hugh Laurie but I didn't look into it.

People always look happy to be in Clooney's orbit.

I look forward to seeing these two and Britt Robertson next year.

George Clooney shocks New York Comic Con crowd with surprise appearance to promote 'Tomorrowland'

George Clooney beamed into the Jacob K. Javits Center Thursday morning to surprise the geeks at the New York Comic Con at a panel for his upcoming film, "Tomorrowland."

The Hollywood heavyweight was not expected to be anywhere close to the main stage at the Javits just 12 days after his star-studded Venice wedding to Amal Alamuddin

"It is not lost on me that I'm spending my honeymoon at Comic Con," he quipped after the raucous ovation subsided.

That is a very cool teaser!

Overall though, I really don't know what to think of this movie. On the one hand, it has a plot that sounds like a massive corporate wankfest and is written by Damon Lindelof, the man behind some of the most disappointing movies and tv show endings of the last decade. On the other hand, it's a Brad Bird film, and he has yet to make anything that I don't love. We'll see...

I know nothing about this, but the impression I immediately got was of a contemporary Wizard of Oz. Some things explicit, like the image of the Emerald City in the distance. Others nuanced, like Dorothy's ennui with a stultifying existence in the sticks being replaced by disillusionment and perhaps fear of a disordered, chaotic environment awaiting outside. The Wizard, not presented as a grandiloquent, failed huckster, but rather a subdued, possibly dangerous facillatator of new and strange experiences. Interesting.

Very nice teaser. I'm definitely looking forward to this. But then, I'll watch anything directed by Brad Bird.

I may see this because of Brad Bird, but red flags went up with that 'name' came up...(I assumed that Bird wrote the film himself)....

*crossing fingers*

I just watched the trailer and it looks great!!

Drone interesting comment, I immediately thought of the Emerald City too when we saw the city across the fields of grain.

Someone in the youtube comments said, "Trend watchers, I'll call it now: optimism about the future is the new normal." I thought that seems very likely!

More like the new fad. It goes in cycles, people are sick of dreary dystopias and now they're turning to cheery utopias. Give a few years, we'll flip-flop back.

New trailer recently released. I'm looking forward to this. :)
