Tomorrow : Yesterday and Today - The Star Trek Filming Locations

Among the nicest places I visited in San Francisco was the future site of Starfleet just across the Golden Gate Bridge. It gives a really nice view of San Francisco and the Bay.

Well, one of Starfleet's future sites. We've seen Starfleet facilities on both sides of the bridge and elsewhere in the city. Ex Astris Scientia has a pretty good overview:

I used this site as a reference. But if you were visiting Starfleet say in 2271, you'd have to drive through the other Starfleet locations anyway (except for Horseshoe Bay, I guess) :)

On my recent trip to San Francisco, I had a free day to explore the city and decided to use my Andorian Sock Monkey (and friends) to reshoot scenes from ST IV (and one from "Big")...

Finally put these into a PhotoPeach slideshow. (Requires Flash.)

Very nice! Although I'm Amrikan, I only visited SF for the first time last year. And, I neglected to look for STIV locations, but I'm sure we walked through the "dumb-ass" intersection several times.

I did come upon a Vertigo location by accident. My wife and I were walking up a hill back to our apartment, and suddenly came upon Madeleine's apartment.

The double dumb-ass intersection is the crossing of Columbus, Kearney and Pacific. Nooclear Wessels was the east side of Columbus at Mason just north of Greenwich.

I visited Vasquez Rocks for the first time today. :luvlove: It was really cold and windy, but my wife and I didn't care as this is such a special place in Trek to visit. I appreciate all the posts here that talked about visiting this and other Trek filming locations. We may try for some others down the line.
