Tomb Raider

Look forward more from this series in the future with this new version of Lara Croft whom with every passing section I'm sure can kick Batman's ass.

I keep thinking about how fun it would be if she encountered Drake from the "Uncharted" series. That's a crossover I'd love to see.

Still playing along at it. (Not one to blast through games, and I've been doing a lot of side exploring.) Just got through the place with the gale-force winds where you had drop a bell through the floor to escape. That one I had to actually look up the solution to as I wasn't quite getting what the puzzle solution to it. Still finding it to be a great, fun, game even if I shoot in it like a 21-year-old girl with limited experience with guns. ;)

I bought this a week ago without having read any reviews. Just for old times sake.
I freaking love it. They did an amazing job rebooting this one.

I'm at 78% complete, at the Research Base trying to get that elevator to work.

God the elevator puzzles pissed me off. I had to have my 8 year old tell me how to do it. After he explained to me what I was missing I felt so stupid. It was so clear what I had to do I don't know how I missed it.

Was that the puzzle where you loosened the four sprockets?

I'm having a hell of a good time John Rambo-ing (or would that be Katniss Everdeen-ing?) my way through this game with the bow and arrow!

Going Rambo always results in my death in every game all the time - I just cannot pull it off. Heck in Battlefield 3 on hard I have to take my sweat ass time doing anything. If I even suspect there is a bad guy on the other side of that car i'll go miles out of my way to sneak up on him - usually nothing - or I get killed by the random mob I didn't even suspect was there on my route to kill a guy that never existed.

God I'm glad I'm not a GI.

Finished the game at 87% complete without making too much effort to find the collectables. Awesome, awesome game.

IMO this programmers who worked on the controls are geniuses. I'm not a fan of jumping puzzles and platforming in general but I don't recall any game where the controls felt this natural and easy to pick up. I did die a bunch of times trying to jump to a platform that was too far away but it was always my fault as opposed to bad game design or poor controls. I can't say that about too many games.

Went through the game with the bow probably 90% of the time and only broke out guns at the end when there were too many enemies. Setting enemies on fire with fire arrows was oh so satisfying.

This game wasn't even on my radar before it came out, but now I'm anxiously looking forward to the sequel.

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I am having a damn near impossible time getting through a certain point. I keep getting killed! Every time I think I'm making progress, somebody appears out of nowhere and shoots me dead. Bah!

What part is it?

Um...

I'm leaving the palace to meet up with Sam, who is trying to escape. I just got the grenade launcher.

^ I don't really remember any hard parts in that section. You've finished all the Uncharted games right? I thought TR was way easier (comparing normal to normal and hard to hard) than any of the Uncharted games.
You can always switch to easy.

Nah, I'll get through it. I'm not sure what my problem is.

I'll probably come back to it tonight and beat it on the first try. That's usually what happens whenever I get stuck on something.

It's like they took this Tomb raider game and gave them a Casino Royale make over, very gritty, even down to her first kill, and i have to admit its fantastic.

Beat the game today. I had an awesome time playing this. The story was engaging, the combat was fun. Can't wait for a sequel!

My oldest child keeps asking when the sequel will be out. I tried to explain to him that the game just came out and a sequel in years away. He doesn't like that.

I think I'll give it a few weeks and then play it again. I finished with 89% complete, I'll try for 100%

I hope they do a worthy sequel. It would be a shame to screw it up.
