Today is Remembrance Day

It seems out that we don't have a thread to mark Rememberance Day in which we remember those who given their lifes for our freedoms.

Andrew, my school friend and Royal Marine and all those who gave their lives.

'Pop', my grandfather who was wounded and captured at Ypres and fortunately survived the Great War.

I've spent the day reading Life, Death, and Growing Up on the Western Front by Anthony Fletcher. It's an exploration into the lives of soldiers on the front, told through their letters and diaries.

I watched the Remembrance Day ceremonies from Parliament Hill, online and on TV. It was a bit different this year, since there was a rededication of the National War Memorial to include other wars besides WWI, WWII, and the Korean war. Princess Anne was there, as well.
