"To The Death" Uncensored?

I was reading about 4x23: "To The Death", the episode where there's a joint operation between starfleet and the dominion to destroy the Iconian Gateway and the rogue Jem'Hadar that control it when I came across this bit of info:

"in the first edited version, fifty-two Jem'Hadar had been killed. Dax had killed ten and Sisko had killed seven. But when the censors got hold of it, they took out over thirty-two Jem'Hadar deaths." (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion)

Does anyone know if it is possible to obtain a version of this episode with the full action scene intact?

This has been discussed here in the past, and I believe the consensus was that the other version was in different regions? The part you quoted was not the only edit of that episode, I'm fairly certain I've seen the original.

Im glad they cut that down. Dax and Sisko killing just one Jem'Hadar each is pretty ridiculous.

I don't believe the 'full uncut' version was ever released. The matter is confused by the fact that some countries have the episode edited even more than the US release. (A neck-twist kill has been removed.)

What? Why? The Jem'Hadar were never established as being some godlike untouchable force. Very tough, strict, and cunning, yes, but not unstoppable.

Jem'Hadar are supposed to be several times stronger than humans, and seem to spend most of their time practicing how to kill. I dont mind so much when they are defeated in a phaser fight, but for someone like Sisko to be able to defeat them in hand to hand combat, taking out seven of them, it just stretches things a bit too far for me.

Yea I agree. I remember the first time I saw that episode thinking it was odd that starfleet officers could best them in hand to hand combat with their own weapons. Then again, Sisko is a man of destiny with some uncanny luck in a lot of situations. Still, I wish I could see the uncut version because it would probably be the craziest melee battle in all of star trek.

Well, Jemmies were on the side of the Feds in that ep, so you'd think the Fed "side" would end up taking out more Jem'Hadar than usual.

The Jem'Hadar are awesome and almost unstoppable. :D

Ah yes! I think we were discussing this.
