Actually that was not my intention when I visited Border's tonight, but there it was in the bargain bin, a HUGE DS9 book. A relaunch book. I had started reading the relaunch books but drifted away. They were good but otehr things were happening and I'm more writer than reader. Anyway I had gotten to the Iconian book, and read that, but there was part of it that forced in another book but I didn't read that. Anyway I remember way back starting the Mission Gamma stories but I couldn't find one of them. anyway, tonight there was huge book called Haunted Seas and I had no idea when it took place.. I figured I hadn't kept on on the stories in a while and I'd be lost, but it was HUGE book with DS9 on the cover and it was 4 dollar.s To my pleasant surprise I learned it was the first two books of that Mission Gamma shindig, and since my move I'd lost track of what books I had anyway, I feel very about buying it.
First, can anyone fill me on Horn and Ivory and maybe give me a refresher course on these stories, it's been years. I remember clearly the Julian story called Abyss and other bits and pieces. can you help with a bit of important points before I start this/
Thanks.
Also what are the best deals you've had for Trek books.
The other good deal was about 5 years ago, in the bargain bin I found this book of Trek episode reviews -zero to four stars each. Can't remember the authors but they worked at a sci fi magazine and they also were the inspiration for the characters in free Enterprise. That was good book deal as well.
