i truly apologize if i offended you with the post regarding Dr. Boyce. my feeling when writing the post was legit. personally i felt his characture in the cage pilot was strong and if the believers in "canon" are sticking with the purity and continuity of this potentially disruptive new reboot then it may be a question worth asking such a great trek community.

saying this; would you please restate the rules for which characters you and your staff feel count and which ones do not? i enjoy the board but don't like being scolded for a topic

Well, I'm not KM, but I can tell you this -

If the character was only in one or two episodes (or a few more than that - you get the idea), it is not necessary to post a thread about them.

You have to remember that a vast number of the TOS one-off actors are long since retired...and it is very doubtful that they are gonna come out of retirement at age 75 or whatever to do a background role - especially since the vast majority of the audience won't even know who the hell they are anyway....and it wouldn't make sense since they are now 75 and Pine and Quinto are...well...not.

We really don't want threads about minor characters like this cluttering up the forum. There were hundreds of them over the years, and it just isn't practical.

If you have any further questions about this, please PM one of us or start a QSF thread about it. Don't start any more threads in the forum.
