Well, yeah, but these are individual pieces of still-photography art, not an argument for watching the actual series in a cropped/modified format.

Pretty much. I didn't expect the thread to turn into a referendum on OAR.
In the audio commentary of an episode of season 3 they say that it was all shot in wide screen but intended to be framed in 4:3. However, the footage is useless since on the left and right of the actors you would see make up artists waiting for the director to say "cut".
