@Borjis, would you mind refreshing my memory about the "Yesterday's Enterprise" uniform? Aside from an imposing-military belt, I can't think of anything special about that uniform.
The collars are different. instead of a gap in the center they kind of merge together.

The solid black collar with department trim and the cuffs were part of some of Blackman's original sketches for a redo of the Theiss uniforms. Like any artist, Blackman found a place to recycle abandoned ideas.
I like the purple undershirt, the circle badge and the little flaps on the top of the suit! I used to have a book called the Making of Star Trek Deep Space Nine and it showed pictures of various sketches of uniforms for the show. This one and the one that looked like the Wil Wheaton Starfleet Acadamy black jumpers were my favorites!
