TNG season 1 and 2 special effects redone..

Bones1864

Anyone think that seasons 1 and 2 of TNG should get a special effects makeover ? I recall when I first saw the Enterprise-D in Eencounter at Farpoint in 1987 tha tthe ship looked crooked slightly. It ddi look kind of toyish that first year.
In season 2 the close ups of the Borg ship repairing itself weer very 1970sishly done as a plastic model kit melting and played backwards...

Maybe the scripts should be redone first. I'm not against redoing the effects but rewriting them is in order. Oh well, one can dream.

I'm not a fan of going back and changing things to make them "better", leave history alone!!!

I'm sure that the show will eventually get a face lift. What they won't do is what I wish they could do -- open up the interiors to make the Enterprise-D seem like the enormous ship that it is. Show us the main shuttlebay, the cetacean areas, longer/straighter corridors, different styles of crew quarters, more observation lounges, etc. Due to budgetary and soundstage space restrictions, in most episodes, the Enterprise-D might as well have been the original Enterprise or Voyager.
