TNG Rewatch: 4x17 "Night Terrors"

The Troi stuff drags it down, but in general the episode has that TOS Season 1 style "all alone out there facing the dangers of space" vibe that TNG was usually lacking.

I'm a big fan of the morgue scene, but the Troi stuff needed to figured out. There has to be a better way than hoisting her up on a swing; it just looks so goofy.

Yeah, Troi's nightmare sequence could have been done differently than her hanging in a void going, "Who are yooooou?????"

All of these! ^

Although, and I know this will be unpopular, but the scene in the morgue reminds me almost the same exact scene in the Buck Rogers episode "Space Vampire" The situations were different, but a doctor alone with a bunch of corpses that all sit up and even the staging were very close and I can't not see it when I watch this. It was creepy in Buck Rogers and it loses something when it happens to Bev, for me. Since I'm only one of the 7 people that watched Buck Rogers, I might just might be in the minority here.

The floaty troi scenes bring this episode down so much for me. Normally I like Troi well enough, but I can't take that scene. "Where are youuuuu I have to tellll youuuu" ugh please no.

Maybe it would have been better if Data was the one recieving messages from the other ship.

The nightmare scene is even.."better"...in the german version because the german voice (who I normally love) is so over the top dramatic. "WO sind SIEEEEEEEEEE?!" (WHERE are youuuuuuuuu")...which makes no sense. Why would she ask "where" instead of "who"...but I guess it has to do with lip synch stuff.
