TNG Miranda Type

Patrickivan

Fleet Captain
Newbie
always wanted to make a TNG version of the USS Reliant from STTWOK, so here is the concept stage design.
I’ve taken the Enterprise D and turned the saucer sideways in order to lengthen the ship like the Reliant.
Now to build it in sketchup.
Here is the link to the pic. I'll post the image directly when I get home.

So...a Nebula Class?

i will show them side by side when i get home.. The nebula class is pretty much a neckless galaxy with the nacelles turned upside down. This is a Miranda class done in TNG style.

Exactly. The Nebula still has the full secondary hull.

Yours looks great. I look forward to seeing more.

Actually, the thickening of the rear part of the saucer on a Miranda class gives the Miranda MORE internal space that a Connie!

^ That part has more volume than the secondary hull and the neck pylon? Or are you just comparing saucer vs saucer?

Nope.

The internal volume of the Miranda class has more space than the internal volume of the Connie. The thickening, slight lengthening and all that of the Miranda gives it more space than the engineering hull of the Connie.
