TNG Episode quote game

BarryWaddle

Lieutenant

Since I temporarily halted the Movie Quote game last week, I thought it would only be fair if I started a quote game for each series...So here goes...Name the character who spoke the line, to whom it was spoken, the episode it appeared in, and maybe some context in which the line was spoken...

"When a man is convinced he is going to die tomorrrow, he'll probably find a way to make it happen."

Guinan to Picard in Best of Both Worlds I, before the battle with the Borg, while they were still hiding in the nebula?

Almost. It was Guinan to Riker in BoBW II, just before Wolf 359.

try this:

'Some days your get the bear. Other days the bear gets you!'

Riker to Picard, just after the Romulan spy gets away by threat of force, in Data's Day wasn't it?

How about this one:

"You felt sorry for me. And look what it got you."

Guinan in "I, Borg", right?

Next one:

"Oui, au fonde nous sommes tous Parisienne. The spirit of that city can always restore my soul."

I believe that was Picard to Minuet in the Binars ep -- I can never remember the correct series of "1s" and "0s" in the title! Although I think you got the last few words wrong -- think it was, ". . . always enchant me." But I could be wrong!

Here's an easy one, to get things going again: "I protest! I am NOT a MERRY MAN!"

Q-Pid...and I believe the Binars were in 10101001.

How about this:
"They took everything I was! They used me to kill...and to destroy...and I couldn't stop them! I tried so hard!"

Picard to his brother in Family.

Here's an easy one, and my personal favorite:

"I assume your handprint will open this door whether you are conscious or not."

Data in A Matter of Time.

How about: "I'm not going to win this one, am I, Chief?"

Captain Maxwell to Chief O'Brien after singing "The Minstrel Boy" in The Wounded.

Ok, how about this one:

How long are you going to sit sulking like Achilles in his tent?

Dr. Pulaski to Data in Peak Performance, after she regrets maneuvering him to play Kolrami in a game of Stratagema (sp?), which he loses, causing him to think he has a systems malfunction.

Here's one I like: "You've just committed an act of utter barbarity!"

Red Ranger

I really like this game, but I don't know the answer. Help?

Rhaenys, et al.,

Ha, looks like I stumped you and everyone else! It's an obscure Picard quote from When the Bough Breaks, the season one ep with the sterile planet Aldea whose people kidnap the Enterprise's children because they can't have their own.

I'll get it started again with a new quote, which should be fairly easy:

"It will be GLORIOUS!"

Red Ranger

"It will be GLORIOUS!" - Kurn to Worf. Not sure of the episode but I think S5 "Redemption pt 2"

"And he will require water, and you must provide him with a sand box. And you must talk to him. Tell him he is a pretty cat ... and a good cat."

That's easy. :D Data to Worf in Phantasms, about Spot.
I believe Worf's answer was: "I will feed him."

Here's the next one:
"It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life."

Picard to Data after having lost a game of Strategema to Zakdorn Master Kolrami in "Peak Performance".

Try this one...

"Hold...! What is the lesson for today?"

Pardon me for interrupting the game, Captain Stoner. Actually, Worf says it to Gowron about how Kahless returning will mean a new era for the Klingon Empire, in the ep Rightful Heir. -- RR
