TNG as an animated series/film?

With the more and more better computer technology to create animations could you envision TNG as an animated series or even feature film?

In the style like for example George Lucas' "Star Wars - The Clone Wars". Since all the TNG main actors are still alive they could voice the characters (maybe a way to get Spiner play Data again).

Okay, I guess it won't happen but could it be imaginable?

Few of them might be happy to do it sometimes, but probably not long term like the 7-year run TNG had. Besides, I caught part of one of the Star Wars' Clone Wars series and thought it was crap. I don't want that to happen to TNG:bolian:

I agree, Finn. That Clone Wars thing is crap, but so was the movie it's loosely based on. So TNG animated? Yes, but more in the style of something good, like Justice League. -- RR

I could see something like this working as a straight to DVD work, or perhaps something released on television first. Either way, a short term committment from the actors to reprise their roles, albeit just as voices, would be much easier to get than a multi-year contract.

Sure, some of the animation of the MMPORG game leads me to believe it would be neat.
