TNG after Roddenberry's Death

After Roddenberry's death Star Trek started to become more dark in nature. When Roddenberry was alive, it was always being in a positive light that the years to come would be more peaceful and more acceptable.

The Borg made life dark, the war in DS9, it made life more complex and darker in nature. Think that was good for star trek, but I am not so sure Roddenberry would be happy with it.

I don't think his death made much of a difference.

It's when he let go of the rains a little in S3,S4,S5 where TNG reached it's potential. That proved that the show could provide interesting stories but still remain that hopeful future which he created. :vulcan:

With Roddenberry's death, it was hard to change TNG as it would be a major shift. But, it did start to get darker in the end of the show then when it started out.

With Roddenberry's death, DS9 did become different then what Roddenberry would have wanted. Roddenbery kinda glaze over the wars that the federation had to deal with in OTS. Was one show had the start of a war with the Rommies and never did develope after that.
