I watched this video with Adam Savage, taking a look at the TMP and the TUC spacesuits. Most interesting to me was OAKLEY stenciled into the back of the TUC helmet - now I have to watch the movie again.

Very interesting, I had never noticed the front of the TMP suit was asymmetric.

Most interesting to me was OAKLEY stenciled into the back of the TUC helmet - now I have to watch the movie again.

It was the 90s, lol.

Those guys may not have realized that Oakley makes helmets (motorcycle, bmx and bicycle), not just sunglasses. Instead of something custom, I bet they just bought off the shelf helmets and glued a bunch of stuff to the outside (I actually still own one of the earbud cases they used for the sides).

The ones with the “handle” that Khan used to pick up Chekhov…those had removable helmets as I recall..just based on the Spock suit by and large.

Any side by side photos?
