Although obviously a publicity still, the picture gives the impression that GR was an active participant behind the camera, even giving Robert Wise "pointers". Especially given what was going on during shooting with the script(s) between GR and Harold Livingston I can't believe Wise would want him anywhere near HIS camera.

I have to say TMP is not the strongest of the films but I love it for the grandness the sets were amazing the uniforms the whole new look it's like saying this is what trek all about love it . !!!!!
Also some of the publicity pics from the TMP are the best from all the films some great group pics of the crew . ?
Yeah I have actually framed some of the crew stills - we've never had a still of all the supporting cast in one photo before or since including Decker, Ilia, Chapel, and Rand. I was even tempted to buy a proper photo from Ebay. I hope somebody gives the stills some hi-def treatment - I'd definitely pay for something like that. I'm a bit of a fan of the pyjama uniforms - I don't think they're that good and I dislike the lack of logic to the colour scheme but I think a modern update could look quite good. As soon as I can afford to replace my PC with a more modern version I want to knock up some TMP-update uniforms on STO to see how they look.

I wish all the uniforms had that dark collar Nimoy's uniform had.
I don't know why, but it looks really good, to me.
I worked it out a couple of years ago he has his Vulcan robe underneath his uniform it's his coller u can see ?
I agree. The dark collar gives the outfit a slicker, more distinguished look, IMO.

Very cool of Nimoy, he actually made Twitter seem worthwhile. (Though I guess Shatner found employment through it as well)
I think it's an "undershirt" that he's also wearing under his Vulcan robes, but yeah!
