TMP Enterprise Orthos

Nice! And thanks! It's rare when someone releases high-res orthos like this, not to mention that they're actually *true* orthos!

Wow.

Years and years ago, I painstakingly created orthos of that ship on my old Amiga 1000 using DeluxePaint. I chose "hi res" mode (640 x 480) which limited me to 16 flickering colors and the result ... looked nothing at all like what you've done here.

Outstanding work, Tobias. As always!

Beautiful pictures. Wonderful skills. Well done Sir!

That is just wonderful to look at. To think I was just as awed when I bought an Amiga disk you had created a TMP Enterprise animation on. I believe I bought it through some kind of Public Domain thingy. Didn't you also release a PD Star Trek game set on the TMP Enterprise bridge? I had that too. A lot of years ago. :sigh:

Now get that Phase 2 stuff finished so I can watch the new episodes...

Outstanding. Something you might be interested in Aridas had his own Planet of the Titans design called the Ariel, with a wider saucer, that ironically, reminds me of a TMP Kelvin hull. Now that Ralph McQuarrie is all the rage, perhaps you could make Ariel as your next project?

Thank you!

deathlok: good ol Amiga days, when it all started. Did my first Enterprise 3D model back then the trek game you mentioned.

publiusr: Quite frankly, although I am a big fan of Ralph McQuarries work, this Enterprise design never worked for me - so I do not have any intentions on building it in 3D.

This is my favorite Enterprise!
No contest!
Really nice work Tobias!
Very good CG model work here and great hi Res image!

Have you ever thought of taking this model to the next level and try to depict it with more of the original perlescence/opalescence
paint job that the had when it was filmed for STTMP?
I have seen a few physical modelers who did attempt this style of paint job very well on the large Polar Lights kit.
The results are really cool looking and make the hull look like it's made from a different/exotic type of material.

The model has a similar paint job, it´s just not that visible in the orthos.

This model looks amazing. Great job on modeling such a detailed ship that can hold up to this level of scrutiny at this resolution. There is no part of the ship that is lacking the same high level of detail as the rest. :techman:
