I've always felt that if a show has a full opening, the music and visuals should herald its high concepts. In the case of Star Trek, wonderment and a quickening of the explorative spirit. Discovery's intro has a playful mystique along with fabulous artistry, but don't feel the theme fully lifts or resolves itself.

Anyhow, here's an edited intro with a theme that has more of a triumphant feel. Not saying it's better - just had some fun with it.

Well done, but I don't think them music's that much more distinctive sounding than what we got IMO, just rooted in more romanticism and bombast.
