Who wins a single Borg Cube or the Echo Papa 607

Who would win?

To make things a little more fair, it's only one Cube vs. The E.P.607.

Both sides can adapt.

The EP can learn from its mistakes and capture drones study and learn from. The Borg can assimilate the EP's drones if their slow moving lumbering bodies can catch them.

The EP can also fight starships so the cube would be under attack as well.

So the question becomes which can adapt faster. Which ever can, wins.

My money is on the Borg, but if the creators of EP607 didn't think to just turn it off and it wiped them completely out, it might pull out the upset.

What do you guys think?
 
My very first poll in the new system. It kinda sucks, and I'm sure who the winner will be. But it is still my first poll.
 
I voted Echo Papa 607 Destrpyer of it creators the New Kid just to be different. :p

One of those small drones took on the Enterprise-D.
So I think it wouldn't have too much trouble with a cube.
Essentially, the production factory must be in operation at all times. Meaning, that the Borg would have an upper hand if they find the factory itself which is essential for a prolonged encounter.

It's possible that the factory would simply produce better and better weaponry each time inflicting new damage onto the cube. So in a prolonged fight ... I think the weapon has a chance of beating the cube ... unless the cube itself adapts.
 
Hmm. I wonder if the question is a little unfair. If it was the EP607 against "The Borg" as an entity, eventually the Borg would win. But against a single cube? There's a good chance the EP607 would win.

But that's kind of like asking who would win in a fight: Batman or Superman? The argument usually goes:

"If Batman has time to prepare & has his arsenal at his disposal, he'll win."

"But what if it's just two guys in a ring?"

"Well, that's not really 'Batman' then. That's Bruce Wayne vs. Superman."

Etc., etc.

I know I shouldn't be posting so early in the morning. My spelling is even worse then (My teachers had several talks with my parents when I was a kid, I had A's and B's in all my other subjects, but my spelling grade was in the D to D+ range.).

So far this poll is a lot closer than I thought it would be. The EP could pull off the up set.

Well I chose 1 cube because it can adapt relatively fast, multiple Cubes would win by sheer numbers and over run the EP.

Understood. But that was precisely my point.

I still think one could make a case for the EP607 defeating a single Borg cube. As we saw in AoF, the EP607 was making quick work of the E-D. It wasn't until Picard negotiated with Mr. Vargas, that the EP607 broke off its attack. And I think it's a fair assumption that the Borg are unfamiliar with negotiating. :)

True to kill off an entire planets population it would have had to send hundred or even thousands of drones.

And the Echo Papa 607 has tied the Borg Cube.

Is this a "Birth of the Federation" inspired poll??? I approve if so! ;-)

I'm going to go with Echo Papa 607. The Borg would ignore the flee until it infected them with malaria!
 
If I remember right, wasn't this echo daddy thing blown up by a rookie LaForge and a bunch of nameless redshirts?

I would think a Borg ship wouldn't have much trouble with it.
