Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

This is such a weird little show. I can't help but keep my eyes glued to it, even when it makes weird decisions like holding off the ending of Season 1 or killing off Donna or whatever the hell they were trying to do with Garfield and Connor. Yet here I am, still coming back...

...must be how hot Hank and Dawn are...

In fairness to one of your points, speculation is that they intend to bring Donna back to life for S3. So her death is apparently only intended to be a short term thing.

I suspected as much, but it still just comes off as weird. I do like the quaintness of how she died, though.

I like it to but, yeah, they make some weird choices. Like, why not have Donna killed by Deathstroke in the fight in the last episode instead of being electrocuted or whatever?

Men kill women more than enough in fiction. Having Donna have a quaint death gives her some agency because she's not being wronged by a man but dying as a consequence of her heroism. This is why I don't like Barbara being paralyzed by The Joker and think something like having her back broken when a support beam falls on her during a routine house fire evacuation is way more heroic.

Looks like a hassle to move in. I hope it's not.

Also looks like a bitch to animate if they ever need to for flight scenes.

Donna's death felt like Trip Tucker's in Enterprise: Totally pointless and unnecessary.
Yeah. Plus (iMO) it's a little ridiculous that Superboy didn't immediately rush into either grab the tower away from (or move in to catch it before) her; or quickly remove her from contact with it, and move it out of the way. He had developed the mental capacity to do be able to do either by that time.

Also given she's an Amazon and has similar powers to Wonder Woman herself; it's kind of surprising that she couldn't handle exposure to the current that killed her.

I've been guilty of doing it myself but don't do their work for them, they don't need to bring it up because we are ourselves.

Casting a minority actor in a primarily white-led production as a makeup character is major 'yikes' energy.

As I've pointed out before, Starfire is not "orange." She's gold. In the original New Teen Titans comics, she was routinely referred to in dialogue as golden-skinned. Cyborg nicknamed her "Goldie." And by hiding her eyes behind sunglasses, she was able to pass as a human with a great tan or a Mediterranean complexion, suggesting that it was actually a golden-brown shade. It was just the limited color palette of older comics that required approximating her golden hue with an orangish color.
