Spoilers Titans - DC Universe Series

But to me that’s a big part of of the character. Being a huge fan of Superman that he Honors him by naming himself after a Kryptonian legend. That and that the character himself is all wrong. I just don’t get a Dick Grayson vibe from him at all. I just hope by season 25, he’s like him.
so far, only Garth seems to act like the character. Connor is close as well but we’re still in the early stages.

I'd rather he pick name that has nothing to do with Superman. Be his own man.
Why would you want that? It’s a good connection showing his relationship with some of the other heroes in the universe. speaking of Superman, it’s a little silly that he hasn’t appeared yet. He isn’t dum. News about another Kryptonian like being out there would get his attention. Also, why wasn’t he contacted immediately?

Because he's Dick Grayson not Jimmy Olsen.
We haven't seen Wonder Woman or Aquaman either. Non-starter for me.
Don't know. Don't care.

What does Jimmy Olsen have to do with anything? Wonder Woman and Aquaman are different since there is nothing currently that would warrant their attention.

I'm saying let some Superman character be a Superman fanboy not Dick Grayson.
He’s a fan but he isn’t obsessed with him. He used to have a few adventures with him when he was younger. That’s where he was told the legend of Nightwing and Flamebird.
If Superman didn’t exist I would have no issue with them coming up with something new. Since he does why not utilise it. It’ll make the show feel like a bigger universe.

I'm more than aware of the "legend" of Nightwing and Flamebird. Read the issues as a kid decades ago.
I'm not sure you'd care as much if "Nightwing" had a Green Lantern connection.
I'd rather they utilize stuff that fit the narrative they're developing.

I’m the contrary I’m a massive GL fan. I’m currently wearing a White Lantern shirt. I’m still annoyed that Coast City wasn’t destroyed in the Reign of the Supermen movie. :)
It could fit the narrative easily, especially with Superboy around.

Pretend I said the name of a superhero you don't like. ;)
Dick naming himself after a Kryptonian myth/Kandorian superhero?????

I can’t think of a hero I hate currently.
He could tell the story to Superboy to teach him about a little of his history and what it means to be a hero. That could later give him the idea to rename himself Nightwing.

Yeah.....no.

Anyone looking for continuity lifted directly from the comics is watching the wrong show.
For that matter, when has any recent superhero adaptation stuck strictly to the source material? The MCU has named some of their movies after comic book storylines, and none of them match up exactly. Age of Ultron was in name only. The only part of the Winter Soldier that was lifted directly from the comics was the "who the hell is Bucky" part. The only thing Infinity War/Endgame had in common with the source material was the snap. The arrowverse has done adaptations of Invasion! and Elseworlds that differ wildly from the source material. I'm sure Crisis on Infinite Earths will be the same way. It's to be expected.

Aqualad killed by Deathstroke not getting the attention of Aquaman?
A whole slew of Amazon's being slaughtered by Deathstroke also not getting Wonder Woman's attention?

But yea it is odd if Superman is on world that he would not investigate a bulletproof guy wrecking police with heat vision blasts out of his eyes.
