Titan's crew diversity

I guess I was just, well, overwhelmed, at first because I had never saw a Trek show or read a Trek book where the crew wasn't 100% humanoid.

You've never seen the animated series with Lt. Arex? Or read New Frontier or SCE or a Diane Duane or Vonda McIntyre novel?

No, I've never watched the animated series. And the only Star Trek books I had read were the DS9 relaunch from Avatar to Fearful Symmetry.

I've just looked up Lt Arex on Memory Alpha and my definition of Humanoid might be off, but to me he's humanoid.

As for the crew diversity on Titan and the Lunar Class in general, I personally think it's a wonderful idea and when I read Taking Wing and the other Novels in the series, I didn't find it confusing, although I will admit I had trouble envisioning the big bug alien. (whose name escapes me)

He's got three arms and three legs. That's not humanoid.

Ah, my bad, after looking more carefully at one of the pictures a third hand can clearly be seen. :alienblush:

Cheers for that Chris, I think I actually had a look at that picture on your annotations web site way back when I read Orion's Hounds.
