Titan Sight Unseen cover revealed

The Wormhole

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
The cover for Sight Unseen, the next Titan novel due out at the end of September has been revealed. Check it out along with the blurb here.

That looks fantastic. I wonder if it's a scene from the story... Also, I can't wait for more Titan.

Not as impressed with this one. The first few Titan covers were beautiful, but this and Fallen Gods have been pretty bland. I did like the Poisoned Chalice cover a lot.

Riker seems to be doing a good job channeling Kirk circa 2285, as he can't seem to find his way off of Titan in spite of the mounds of paperwork in his office at Starfleet HQ. In any case, there have been rumors circulating for a while that the aliens from "Schisms" were making a return. Perhaps this is it.

I thought those rumors started because of that blurb? I know the blurb's been out for a few months now, and I remember people guessing at that in the thread where it was posted. It's just the cover that's newly released, I'm almost certain.

IIRC, I think the rumors started because of Absent Enemies but intensified once the other blurb came out, which was sometime ago.

It´s the story I´m looking forward to. And I will wait for the German translation. Maybe they create a new cover. They kept almost every Titan cover except Fallen Gods (Gefallene Götter), with Tuvok and Andorians on the Cover)

As to this one: it´s acceptable.

I like the cover art and the story sounds good. I've liked all of James Swallows books I've read.

I'm a James Swallow fan, so i'll be there for sure. I don't mind that cover, but it does feel a little ordinary. Nothing wrong with that I guess :)

Meh, I'm not very impressed by this cover. It's too similar to Fallen Gods. And who thought it would be a good idae to do the Titan in false coloring? I want true coloring!

I am unaware if anyone predicted so after Absent Enemies, but I know I posted that theory in another thread when the Sight Unseen blurb first came out.

The cover design reminds me of Absent Enemies. I'm looking forward to his one. I miss my Titan crew - they and Vanguard turned me into a TrekLit coinnosseur when they came out in Germany in 2008. Hopefully we get a great focus on all of the crew.

Poisoned chalice cover was great. I like this one except for the colour scheme, it seems too grey

I think my problem with it is that, as nice looking as these ship images are, I liked the novelty of the first few Titan books, having these vivid colors and several images of characters, all of that making the covers feel more like a movie poster or something. Even Synthesis, which had just Riker and Minuet, had these bright and vivid colors surrounding them. This is just... I wouldn't say unappealing, just that it feels like more of the same.

The German publisher has kept most of the original covers for the Titan novels except Fallen Gods. Hopefully they change this one, too. :)

The cover is rather bland IMO. The story sounds good though, and that's really all that matters when it comes to books.
