Titan mags DS9 special issue

Nice, now if I can just get a ride to Borders. It sucks not driving :censored: :censored: :brickwall:

Nah, I can probably get a ride from my mom next time she goes that way.

Last time I had a subscription for a Trek mag was Star Trek: The Magazine. Cancelled it because I started noticing the issues at the store before I got them.

Are you sure that was The Magazine and not The Communicator? I've never seen or heard of that with The Magazine but The Communicator became notorious over it to the point that many fans never received their mail copies and yet issues were in stores. Decipher has to be the epitome of bad management.

Either way, Titan's version should always get to subscribers first...

Paul

I got out and checked both Border's and B&N and no luck. Hopefully I'll be able to check again in a couple weeks.

I absolutely agree Paul and it does kind of tick me off that I get my subscriber copy about a week or two later than Barnes and Nobles. I just don't know how we can get through to Titan to take care of their pre-paid customers first.

Pst, Paul is the editor of the Magazine. :guffaw:

(ETA: Thinking about it, you most likely know about that and your post was a sarcastic one. In this case just ignore my post. ;) )

You caught me Defcon but I wasn't being sarcastic. Just trying to make a point. In fact when my subscription comes up for renewal this year I am canceling and buying my future issues from my local B&N. At least then I can have it before subscribers and also not get a bent and damaged copy in the mail. I only subscribed that way for convenience but it seems to not be worth it. This was the first time I have subscribed to a magazine but now will be the last.

Oh... and BTW...I have every issue of Star Trek: The Magazine, Starlog's TNG, DS9 and VOY mags and also every fan club mag from numbers 49 thru 155 (later became the Communicator). And various other mags published in Canada and Australia. I suppose my magazine cllection is around 400 all in mint or near mint except for my issues from Titan. *sigh*

I got my ds9 issue in the mail and really enjoyed the ds9 articles.I'm looking forward th the next magazine being about the early years of Starfleet.

Just wanted to comment that I loved this issue and am buying two... one to have and the other I'm splitting the spine and extracting the full page portraits for a little art project. Great work on the interview, art and layout. Was, in my opinion, a great tribute issue.

Now, if I could just get spectacular full-page art of the other Relaunch characters. ;)

I know I'm dredging up an old thread, but I loathe creating new threads for old topics and it's still on the shelves so it's still relevant. I just now am getting around to pulling the pages, so it was on my mind.

A timely thread resurrection, that. :D

Paul
Should I be worried about not having received my subscriber's copy yet?
