That's pretty much how Trek seems to work now. It appears to be preferable to be stand in opposition to CBS because...being oppositional is in fashion I guess.

Maybe I’m just a simple man, but to me SNW is a new Star Trek show and that’s it.

Same here. I had to reconcile many thing in my Trek journeys. SNW isn't the first, won't be the last, and I certainly won't loose any sleep over the visual aesthetics.

the eugenics wars were supposed to happen in the 90s, as said in TOS and WOK, but the timeline was already changed in SNW to have it happen later. That would mean that SNW and TOS/WOK are in different timelines. Might also make Disco separate from TOS/WOK, since it's apparently in the same timeline as SNW. Perhaps TMP was in the TOS timeline, and 2-4 were not, and that's why the TVH bridge was so different from the TFF bridge, which is in the TOS timeline again

Yeah I wasn't sure which existing thread fits best, since they all do (one about when the EW happened, another about timelines and continuity in the SNW section; one about moving the EW to a later point, one about being in the same timeline or not in General Trek). Can you come up with a new thread title that doesn't spoil too much but also says what it's about, and where in the forum to post it, since it is from SNW but affects other shows and movies? Cause I can't right now

If you compare the size of crew quarters on the SNW Enterprise being sooooo much bigger than Picard's quarters on a GALAXY-CLASS starship, 100 or so years later, it's difficult to reconcile.... except to embrace SNW (which I love) as occurring in an altered timeline and look forward to every thing to come.

If the primary reference is to SNW or events on SNW, that's the correct forum. Especially when the spoilers embargo is in effect. You just end up having a thread that looks like

The other option is to start a thread on "Alternate Timelines Proposal" (or something like that) and spoiler tag the whole thread.

Of course, I think we need another debate about timelines like I need another hole in my head, but that's a different problem.
