Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassination

So I don't know how Leonard Nimoy is going to be in this film but I assume it's time travel. And if that's the case, I say he should be on his way back from shooting JFK. It would be nice homage to... some script about Spock killing JFK that I don't remember the details on?

Hell, maybe it could be the pre-credits teaser like in a James Bond film.

Wasn't Zapruder listed on IMDB?

I'll go one better. Captain Archer should try to stop him.

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

In any case, this movie is gonna need a healthy dose of Future Guy and Captain Braxton. I've been theorizing for a while that Future Guy is Samuel T. Cogley (the attorney, not the poster) in disguise. It makes absolute perfect sense if you think about it.

Old Spock on the holodeck, just like ENT: TATV.

This has me thinking about the worst possible Trek movie ideas.

Evil Spock going back in time to assassinate JFK and Daniel's sending Archer back in time to stop him. Of course he doesn't stop him, but Archer does manage to kill spock and Archer is so mad at himself for failing he goes and organizes the Federation...

That is so bad, it would be fun to watch...

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

See, here's the mental image I have.

Quinto Spock: Whoa, you're....
Nimoy Spock: Greetings.
Quinto Spock: Fascinating.
Nimoy Spock: Fascinating.
Quinto Spock: But illogical.
Nimoy Spock: Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end.
Quinto Spock: Fascinating.
Nimoy Spock: Oh, by the way I just got back from assassinating JFK.
Quinto Spock: Whoa, really?
Nimoy Spock: Yep, you see there was this guy named Clay Shaw and--

Suddenly Nimoy Spock's head explodes in red and he's jerked to the side. Quinto Spock is seen to be mouthing "Oh my God" but there's no sound. The film gets grainy and lo-fi colorized and the image of Nimoy Spock's assassination repeats over and over and over and, voiceover:

Data: Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left.
Picard: We're through the looking glass here, folks.

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

JFK was the second shooter. That's canon.

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

I just want to see Quinto's Spock try to take the top off someone's head using telekinesis. Maybe that's how future Spock dies. And Quinto's Spock gets all his memories and the additional powers he gained from the mind-meld with V'Ger and the Genesis Planet regeneration.

And then there'll be balloons...

To make it worse? Film it with Marionett puppets...

I agree most. wholeheartedly.

I'll go one better. Captain Archer should try to stop him.

But tragically, he trips over a Space Nazi on his way to the Book Depository and fails.

Not unlike this thread.

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

aw.

I'll admit, it's a rough draft.

Re: Time-travelling Spock should be on his way back from JFK assassina

Shouldn't Spock's head explode in green?

(Of course, had Paramount kept the Christmas release date, it could explode in red and green! Then we could pull back and see that Charlie Evans is shaking a snow globe. Meadow then walks into Holstens and Tony looks up and

Well, it's been a while since anybody did a Kennedy reenactment and filmed scenes at the book depository. I'm sure they'd love to have the business.

Hell, maybe it could be the pre-credits teaser like in a James Bond film.
And, instead of the usual Bond theme, they'll be pumping that funky Spock Bass.

While we're at it, Spock should be wearing his mirror counterpart's classic beard as a disguise. (Though, I'd be happy if Spock, somewhere on the high side of 200, finally decided to take the advice of his dear, long-departed friends and grow one one of his own.)
