Tiger woods in car crash - serious injuries

^So as not to spray glass all over him and risk hitting him with the golf club after breaking the window, one would assume.

I read something today that said the "serious injuries" report came out as SOP for whenever someone has to be taken to the hospital. So, in essence, he could've needed stiches on his hand from a cut sustained from broken glass and he'd be said to have "serious injuries."

TMZ, while hardly a bastion of journalistic integrity, is now reporting that Woods and his wife had a domestic dispute regarding the rumors that Woods has been having an affair, and she reportedly scratched his face.

In any event, if Woods was cheating on this:

Then, their marriage must either have serious problems, or Tiger really, really likes to hit it on the road.

Why not just open the door? Still doesn't explain why she was wielding a golf club.

sidious I'm with you on this ~ apparently when the police went to question him today his wife said he was 'sleeping'! And they didn't pursue this?

As far as it being 2:30 AM goes, according to an article by Sally Jenkins some time back, Woods suffers from insomnia and usually sleeps no more than four hours a night. He's an apparently very restless soul. So it may not be that unusual for him to be up and about that late (or is that early?). Of course, where does one go that late? Just for a drive?

He was backing out of his driveway? That's a little weird. Even our middle class suburban house has a driveway wide enough to back out of the garage and face the car forward before going down the driveway.
It's strange to think that in normal circumstances a person would back out of a long driveway when he doesn't have to. Maybe he wasn't thinking clearly and was in a hurry.

Woods and his people have to know the longer this goes, the more it smells like a deeper story. I'm not suspicious by nature, but I'd even say that something must've happened that night would damage his "brand" if it got out.

Unless his wife was carrying a golf club when she ran down to the accident site, she'd have had to run down to the site, check on her husband, then run back up to the house to get a club.

I wonder if Woods advised her on what club to use to properly smash an SUV window? A long iron? A lofted wood?

Typical trian wreck of a romance we see with Sportstars and movie stars. They maybe had a great relationship to begin with, lots of love, lots of affection but then as the years roll on they drift apart and only stay together for the kids. A tabloid accuses Tiger Woods of meeting with a call girl and all of a sudden Tiger's wife goes nuts at 2 am and starts acting more Lindahamilton's Sarah Connor in Judgment Day

Truth will come out eventually despite Team Tiger's efforts on PR damage control

So your loved-one has just left the house at 2:30 in the morning to go... "do something." He backs out of the driveway, sorta quickly, and ends up smashing the back-end of the car into a firehydrant and a light pole. You hear this crash... somehow even though you live in a huge mansion with a long driveway. Do you:

A: Grab a golf-club to break out the guy "trapped" in a car that backed into some objects at less-than 35 miles an hour (likely not damaging the front doors of the car.)

B: Run to see what happened and then simply open the front door of the car.

My money is she chased him out of the house with the golf-club/threatened him with it and he backed out of the driveway quickly in a rage and simply turned the car out of the drive too soon.

Just knew she was a golf club wielding maniac ~ you can see it in her eyes

She almost looks pleased with herself.

Trekker, once seriously injured by a box knife, apparently.

Does anyone know what the house and driveway actually look like? I'm wondering how far the scene of the accident was from the house. Also, did she hear and run out there with a golf club, or go back for one, or what?
