Surprisingly the only part I didn't like was Grandma! They even had a homage to "TinTin"s name, and had an in universe explanation for the apparent legal wrangles. Plenty of opportunity to bring in Kyrano and Jeff in the future.
Only niggle - where did Gordon go during the Taiwan rescue? They took pod 3 (for some reason?) and I assume Gordon was going to do a tb4 direct launch (ala Empire State episode) to get to the rescue zone, but we didn't hear anything more from him.
Tb4 itself was always the worst as a kid, slow and boring. that may have changed. The back flip manoeuvre is inspired. The other machines were spot on. Yes I know boarding tB3 was slightly different, but it was far more than a homage.
Given the politics at the moment, I wonder who Lady P met in number Ten to buy some time.
John had plenty to do, and I think having tb5 coordinate rather than Jeff makes sense in today's moddern world, or at least as much sense as it's going to make if you try to merge a manned Comms satelite with the 21st century.
Was it me or did the undersea base evoke Sidewinder thoughts?
As the parent of a (nearly) 3 year old boy, I'm afraid he's still a bit too young to watch. I was expecting the opening scene to end up with "Call Sam! Call fireman Sam!", which I guess shows how my viewing habits have changed over the last 20 years. I still remember the excitement I had about (while on holiday in Port Isaac) getting the latest issue of the 1990s comic, which was during a "Hood invades Tracey Island" story. This was the era of the Blue Peter build your own Tracey island. It's amazing how time flys, and how some things are constant. The excitement of seeing a swimming pool vanish is still there, and I cant wait to explain tb1's sonic booms.
Oh, and pro-tip from a sim city 2000 player, don't build your solar collectors in the middle of the city!
