THUNDER gags

One of the funniest parts of Tropical Thunder, to me, were the fake coming attactions they show at the start...especially the one with Robert Downey JR and Tobe McGuire as gay monks back in the dark ages....funny stuff..

Well last night, before Benjamin Button started, they showed a clip of a new Downey Jr movie. And everyone in the theatre started laughing because it could have easily been a fake one from Tropical Thunder..

Downey jr plays some guy who befriends Jame Foxx's character: a base-playing musician who is crazy and lives on the streets. Its probably supposed to be a serious movie about letting these people live on the streets who might be better suited to be institutionalized. But the lines Downey uses could have come from a bogus coming attaction...and it had the crowd laughing at his serious lines.

I liked that part too! I like when we see his profile and he screams with the voice over going "His God let him down" or something like that. Even the expressions on Tobey's face were priceless. Satan's Alley! Making me laugh right now just thinking about it.

Yeah the RDJ one was the best of the bunch. I laughed so damned hard when I saw that I've shown it to everyone I know with a sense of humor.

Out of all the faux trailers, "Satan's Alley" got the biggest reaction/laughs from the audience I saw it with. When "Enigma" began to play I couldn't stop laughing.

I actually didnt know it was a GAG. It looked like a real movie and the audience I was with didn't get a clue at the start either.

I could actually see them making that movie!!!
