Through-Deck Shuttle Carrier

This is a design that I have been fiddling with and trying to fully develop for a few years now but have never been able to complete it. A lot has to do with figuring out proportions and how everything fits together. The ship is basically the Federation equivalent of the Romulan Warbird as far as design goes, albeit with the middle portion actually put to use instead of empty space.

She's a carrier for shuttles and fighter craft, with dual bays on either side with for entrance and aft exit. There is also a traditional clamshell bay at the rear of the secondary hull. I would place her in the TNG era as far as time frame.

Here's a rough sketch of the dorsal and an even rougher sketch of the plan view.

I like how you seemingly got the proportionality perfectly right. In all those flowing lines, there're a lot of really basic geometrical ideas - there's a lot of the golden ration. Really great design...

Yep, it's floated around for quite a while. At first it was a much smaller ship, more a strike frigate like the Norway or Sabre class. I figured with that available space in the middle it could go to good use. I envision the bays could always be modular and able to be retrofitted to other tasks. During the Dominion War they could have always crammed some torpedo launchers full of ammo in there and unleash some hell.
